This page explains how to delete your Pliny account and the data associated with it.
How to delete your account
You have two options.
In-app (fastest)
Open Pliny → Profile → Settings → Delete account → confirm. Your account and data are deleted immediately.
By email
If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line "Delete my account". We'll confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 14 days.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:
- Account credentials (email, password, Google/Apple sign-in tokens)
- Profile (display name, profile picture)
- Progress through courses, modules, and quizzes
- Earned badges, XP, level, and streak
- Daily-game history (Codex, Mosaic)
- All other records linked to your account
What is retained
We may retain anonymised, aggregate analytics that cannot be traced back to you (e.g. total app user counts), and records we are legally required to keep where applicable. These records cannot be used to identify you and are not linked to your account.
